1. 400 handwritten letters, $184.80 in stamps, weeks worth of time, and 4 very cramped hands later…

    Merry Christmas, indeed.

  3. Happy V-day to my Dad! Thank you for all you’ve taught me. You have always modeled to me what a veteran should be like: fighting in a war was your job, but it has never been something you’ve ever gloated about. To me, that is brave humility. It is so rare to come by these days…

Thank you for taking care of our family so we never had to experience the hard things you witnessed. I’m really really proud of you.

I love you so much, Dad!

BUNNY WITHOUT EARS FOUND NEAR JAPANESE NUCLEAR PLANT

A newborn bunny without ears in Namie City, Japan, just outside the 18-mile exclusion zone around the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant. The rabbit was found in May by 56-year-old Yuko Sugimoto. It has become a symbol of people’s fears of radiation after the Fukushima plant was damaged by the earthquake and tsunami in March, even though scientists say there’s no evidence the bunny’s defect was caused by radioactivity. 15. We spent a week up in dem mountains of North Carolina (Brevard to be exact) for our last required training for Mission to the World. Such a great and encouraging week. Loved getting to know these other missionaries while we were there (some are blurred out b/c they are involved with sensitive areas of the world).

Thank you for helping us get to our final training!
