This is David and Meg. They’re the Feldman’s. They’re some of our best friends here in Roanoke. David is a professional cellist and plays in the Roanoke Symphony…among other things. He’s also a cello teacher, house renovator and aspiring gardener. Meg is also an artist who does a lot of painting. She is also a baby-walker, house renovator and aspiring gardener. No, really, they’re both artists and have some odd jobs too. It kind of comes with the profession, I guess. They got hitched a little after we did in 2008 (er…I think October) and now they’re newlyweds living in the ‘Big Lick’ (i.e. Roanoke) and we spend most of our time together goofing off, eating food, walking/running/talking/playing Super Mario Kart on N64, eating food, and keeping each other sane.

The four of us are going on a mini-vacation/road-trip up the East Coast in August. We’ll stop through D.C., Baltimore, NYC, Providence, Boston, and some random island in Maine.

It’s going to be a great, sweaty adventure filled with an exorbitant amount of walking, seeing new sites, experiencing bustling, over-crowded cities, intense summer heat, long stretches of the United States interstate system, great conversations and, hopefully, not too much fast food. And it’s kind of our last hurrah with some great friends God gave us while we lived here in Roanoke. But we know this isn’t goodbye or anything and we know we’ll always be friends. So, I guess this is our little shout out to some friends we really love. To you out there in the interblogwebworld they are known as David & Meg, but with some odd endearment they will forever be known to us as ‘Meggers’ and ‘Davers-Wavers-Babers’.
So, go to David’s MeSpace and buy Meg’s art because we love them and they’re some local artists who need your support.
